I can’t believe you didn’t reference that bear mauling scene from The Revenant. Perhaps the most unforgettable, horrifying movie scene I’ve ever watched.
Were you feeling gruesome today and passing it on?
I hiked and backpacked over fifty years in Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Utah, Arizona, and Alaska, and was never attacked by a bear. I believe it was a combination of common sense and . . . luck. My partner frightened a black bear away from a campsite trash container when we were tented in Yosemite. We carried a bear container for food. I hiked once alone in Alaska where folks had seen a grizzly, and sung all the way to let it know I was there. Bear attacks are uncommon, and usually they attack out of surprise (fear) or to protect cubs. :)
While horrific. . . humans can be worse. . . . like blowing the shit out of a house or village, maiming the innocent people who might be sleeping peacefully . . . or we allow kids to starve to death. . . slowly - while we are the "richest country in the world" Crazy, right?
Alright, so whatcha doin' with this? It's kinda compelling in that greusome rubberneck kinda way. I'm reminded of the amazing scene in Brave where Merida's mom is on the verge of turning bear forever. You are only and will ever be a meal to a bear. Got it. Don't go camping? No problem. And I like your bolding game btw.
🤯
Exactly. LOL
Here be amazed

You're so right. I didn't want to miss the best ones, did I?

Yes - I agree people are way worse.

What am I doing with this? Honestly? Having fun... Shallow... Insipid fun. LOL.
Just keeping ya' honest Anton. And if you haven't seen it, do watch Brave. Redhead heroines are my favorite.
